Kootenay Gold Inc. is focused on the development of its wholly owned flagship “Promontorio Silver/Gold Project”. The results from Phase I & II drilling provided more than 15,000 m (57 holes) showing unique similarities to major deposits also located within Sierra Madre trend of Mexico (producing more than 520 million oz silver and 15 million oz gold within just the past 7 years). Promontorio’s Discovery Zone has identified a rich area approximately 200 meters by 300 meters in plan by 440 meters vertically, still open on three sides and at depth. Step out drilling found very encouraging results more than 1,600 meters from the original Discovery Zone and will be a focus within the completion of this current 35, 000 program. In addition to identifying additional zones of surface mineralization within the Promontorio Discovery, Kootenay has identified three more notable properties within the 300,000 hectare land package. This Generative prospecting program creates a tremendous upside for investors and interested exploration companies by offering an impressive collection of properties for several more discoveries.

Jim McDonald is the founder and CEO of Kootenay Gold Inc. His 25 year career began working as a project geologist with Noranda Explorations Ltd., and includes developing companies such as White Knight Resources Ltd., Black Bull Resources, and National Gold (now Alamos Gold Inc). Mr. McDonald continues to serve on the board and technical committee of Alamos Gold.
